We Help Schools Educate Through Gardens

Engage. Teach. Grow. Empower.

Let Learning Take Root

We bring vibrant school gardens to life across North Carolina—spaces where kids can move, learn, taste, and thrive.

Who We Are

School gardens can change everything.
At School Garden Foundation, a North Carolina nonprofit, we help elementary and middle schools create thriving gardens—and use them to teach, nourish, and inspire.

Our programs support physical, mental, and environmental health by connecting kids with real food, hands-on learning, and the wonder of nature.

We support the planning, funding, and curriculum—so teachers can focus on teaching, not logistics.

“We believe that when children learn to care for a garden,
they also learn to care for themselves, their communities, and the planet.”
